Project Overview:
Our studio developed the full visual identity and dynamic graphic system for a major competitive dance series optimized exclusively for YouTube Shorts. The mission was to transform raw footage into a fast-paced, high-energy spectacle, leveraging bold, comic-book-inspired typography and high-contrast colors (red/yellow) to ensure instant viewer engagement within the 9:16 vertical format.
Objective:
To establish YouTube Shorts as the premier platform for competitive dance content by creating a highly recognizable, scalable, and retention-driving visual brand that would hook viewers in under three seconds.
Challenges:
Vertical Constraints: Maximizing visual impact and legibility within the limited vertical screen real estate without obscuring the dancers.
Viewer Retention: Designing kinetic graphics and transitions to communicate excitement and information instantly, combating high drop-off rates typical of short-form video.
Design Process:
We focused on rapid iteration and optimization for speed. This included:
Developing the central, bold "DANCE" logo.
Designing minimal, high-contrast "VS" and talent graphics for quick transitions.
Creating modular, templated designs for $Jurados$ (Judges) and scores to ensure production speed and visual consistency across all episodes.

The project was a resounding success, establishing a vibrant, instantly recognizable format that drove millions of impressions and successfully amplified YouTube Shorts' position as the destination for viral dance content.
